The Palette Gallery is pleased to present local artist Marie Channer at the Mountain Community Music and Arts Concert this Sunday, June 15.  The concert will be at 4:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Nederland and features musicians Jessica and Jonathan Oddie with violin and piano.

In Conjunction with the concert Marie Channer will show many of her exquisite oil paintings in a one-woman show.  Her work continues to receive wide recognition throughout the country.

Marie loves to paint people and beautifully captures the essence of life, often with a bit of whimsy in her filmy creations.  Her painting 'Summer Reflections' placed first in oils in the National Show for 2004 in the Gilpin Art Gallery in Central City.

 Ms. Channer's art can be seen at World Art Gallery in the Laguna Beach area, the Mary Williams Gallery in Boulder, RL Foster Gallery in Denver, the Rive Gauche Galleries in Scottsdale, Arizona, soon to be in Santa Fe and New York, and the Palette Gallery in Nederland.

"Our talents are a gift from God, what we do with them is our gift to God," says Marie in expressing her philosophy of art and its relationship to life.  Art exploration with its gentle demands continues to be a dominating force in her life.
